Am I eligible to take part?

Male & Female Criteria

    • You’re a cisgender male or female aged 18-40. 

    • You live in the UK or EU and use English as one of your main languages. 

    • You use an iPhone (compatible with iPhone 7 or later running iOS 13 or later). 

    • You have impaired vision or hearing

    • You have a neurological condition (e.g brain injury, stroke) or a cardiac condition (e.g angina, heart disease)

    • You have been taking medication/s for a mental health condition for less than 6 months 

    • You’re above threshold for severe physical health anxiety sensitivity

    • You’re undergoing or waiting to undergo sex-reassignment hormone therapy or surgery (in the next 6 months) 

Additional Female Criteria

  • To understand more about the menstrual cycle and mental health, we need to recruit both: females who take hormonal contraception AND females who do not take any form of hormonal of contraception (i.e naturally cycling).

    If you have a natural cycle, this means:  

    • You've not taken any hormonal contraception for at least 6 months

    • You have not missed a period for 3 months or more (within the last 12 months) 

    • Your cycle length is considered regular (this will be assessed on enrolment into the study), and is defined as 25-35 days.

    OR if you are on hormonal contraception, you’re eligible if you are:  

    • Taking hormonal contraception for at least 6 months or more at enrolment 

    Note you can report changes to your contraception status in the app throughout the study.

    • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding (or pregnant in the last 12 months

    • Undergoing (or planning in the next 6 months) changes to your reproductive function that include: hysterectomy, ovarian surgery, IVF treatment, gender transitioning hormone treatment/s (i.e. testosterone), or changes to their contraception status 

    • Current (or a history of) hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
